Kamehameha Iki Park Beach

This beach is located in the center of Lahaina, close to many notable attractions. This beach is frequented by surfers and surfing schools. Lahaina is a hugely popular destination for surfing lessons.

Napili Bay Beach

South of Kapalua is the beautiful Napili Bay. Offering a bit more expanse than its neighbor, Napili boasts a protected bay, stunningly evident water, smooth sand, outstanding snorkeling, and lots of awesome outdoor activities.

Oneloa Beach

Oneloa Beach, also known as Big Beach, is a world-famous surf spot located in Lahaina.

This beach is known for its huge waves, which makes it a favorite area for skilled surfers.  The beach is also a terrific place to chill, sunbathe, and take in the incredible sceneries. Even though Oneloa Beach is a superb place to surf, it can be scary for newbie surfers. The waves here are enormous and can quickly sweep you away if you’re not careful. If you’re not a proficient surfer, it’s best to stay out of the water.

One of the best things about Oneloa Beach is that it’s never too overloaded. Even on the busiest days, you can find yourself in a peaceful spot. The beach is also very tidy and well-maintained.  Here is a great zone to spend the day with friends or family. There are restrooms and showers available, as well as a parking lot.

Pohaku Beach Park

Distance from Lahaina: 6.5 miles

This beach is attractive, but it may not be worth driving out of your way to visit if you’re not already in the area. It’s ideal for a comfortable day spent lazing on the sand and taking occasional dips in the ocean. Just be aware that after it rains, there can be runoff from nearby roads, so it’s best to avoid swimming then. This is also an impressive spot to observe whales during their breaching season!

Wahikuli Wayside State Park

Distance from Lahaina: 5.3 miles

If you go to Wahikuli Wayside State Park, you should definitely check out the sights of the West Maui Mountains. The park is also a fantastic site for a picnic or a barbecue. There are restrooms and drinking water public, as well as parking. The beach here is not the best for swimming, but it’s a nice place to de-stress and take in the surprising scenery.
