Banyan Tree Park

The renowned Front Street in Lahaina, Maui, is home to Banyan Tree Park. The park’s major attraction is, of course, the banyan tree. It was brought in from India and established in April of 1873, and it has grown to be nearly 60 feet tall!
There is just one tree in this park, despite the fact that it looks to contain at least a dozen. The tree contains a total of 12 primary trunks, not including the massive core. It is the U.S.’s greatest banyan tree and one of the top things to do in Lahaina.
The playground caters to both residents and visitors to Lahaina. The seats below it are a great place to unwind and enjoy the Hawaiian sun. Various arts and crafts demonstrations are usually held here on weekends.

Before going out on the ocean, you may also get a sand lesson. To provide a personalized experience, groups are restricted to six persons.

The Kapalua Coastal Trail, located in the northwest part of Maui, is a magnificent walk through lava fields and wilderness, beside the ocean, and close to many of the area’s luxury hotels. You may start your walk at either end of the route, walk the entire length, and then spend the rest of the day at one of the two beautiful beaches. Those coastlines, which are positioned at the start and conclusion of the walk, have both been awarded the greatest in the United States (Kapalua Beach in 2018 and Fleming Beach in 2003).

Baldwin Home Museum

Baldwin Home is indeed a famous landmark in the middle of downtown Lahaina and is Maui’s oldest house that is still intact. Reverend Ephraim Spaulding constructed a one-story “missionary compound” in 1834.
Spaulding was forced to return to the island owing to sickness just two years after the home was completed, and Reverend Dwight Baldwin, a medical missionary who had been living in a grassy hut here on-site, came in with his family. It is now available to the public for tours of the historic structure both inside and out. It’s open every day (candlelit tours are held every Friday). The entrance cost is reasonable (just $7 for adults) and includes admission to the Wo Hing Museum.

The temple and complex of the Lahaina Jodo Mission are located near Puunoa Point in Lahaina, the Hawaiian island’s first capital. The region overlooks the West Maui hills, as well as the beauty and tranquility of three surrounding islands: Moloka’i, Lana’i, and Kaho’olawe.
The Lahaina Jodo Mission was formed in 1912 by Rev. Gendo Saito, with the help of numerous Japanese immigrants working on the sugar and pineapple farms.
It was eventually destroyed in a fire. Following that, Mission members agreed to construct a Japanese-style Buddhist temple on the oceanfront site.
In the temple courtyard, there is a 12-foot tall statue of Amida Buddha. It commemorates the arrival of the first Japanese immigrants to Hawaii and is a stunning sight in Lahaina!
